Finding the right balance between analysis and offer

Tonnay-Boutonne Cooperative - Tonnay-Boutonne (Charente-Maritime)

For the Tonnay-Boutonne agricultural cooperative. The company Cybèle developing rapidly through external growth, was asked to study the upgrade of an existing site in order to increase its storage capacity and enable its client to achieve new production objectives.

The first challenge for the CERES-Agro-Industrie team was to produce a preliminary project plan in record time. At the request of Cybèle we proposed a meeting within 24 hours, followed by a single afternoon business meeting. We developed a process diagram to define the main aspects of the project: handling tower, positioning of the dryer, layout of the storage area for clean products, shipping bays, and finally the wet corn pre-storage area.
The complexity of the study was mainly to take into account the constraints of the existing equipment: weighbridge, offices, truck access, etc.

After validating this pre-analysis, Cybèle tasked the CERES-Agro-Industrie design office to develop the final plans to visualize the new site and present the project to the management of the cooperative. These plans were used to guide the major work areas: civil engineering, steel structures, dryer and wet grain pre-storage.

Our client, when asked what influenced his choice of consulting firm, emphasized the soundness of the requirements analysis and the viability of the recommended solution. The project persuaded neighbouring industrial sites to work with us, with whom we now have ongoing projects.
